Ghana has thirty-two documented slave trade castles and forts spread around the coasts of Accra, Central, and Western regions with the most popular ones being Elmina and Cape Coast castles. These forts and castles reflect the horrors of the slave trade and colonialism while presenting an opportunity for emancipation and reconciliation. If you want to make a political statement with your photos and videos, a fort or castle would be ideal. We can already see that powerful caption.

8. Jamestown Lighthouse

One of the colonial towns that is often overlooked and underrated is Jamestown. The town and its iconic lighthouse played a huge role in the slave trade and colonial history. The 92 ft. (28m) structure was originally built in the 1930s, replacing an earlier lighthouse that was built in the 1870s. This landmark will give your Instagram reel a retro and picturesque feel.

9. Aburi Botanical Gardens

The rollercoaster nature of the ride to the Aburi Garden is Instagram-worthy itself. However, the best part is the beautiful view of the Aburi garden. This view coupled with the birds singing and chirping will make a good calm meditation video for the Gram.
