Sweet Science of the Seaside | Indigenous Foreigner Show

Ghana has produced 10 world champion boxers, all of whom were raised in--or at least were trained in--Accra’s seaside communities of Bukom and James Town. These communities, covering under 1 sq kilometer in the city, have produced stars for the country and continue to carry on the tradition today. What makes a phenomenon like this occur, where so much of a country’s fortune in one discipline emanates from a small distinct area? What makes James Town and Bukom unique? Join us in Sweet Science of the Seaside as we meet the locals and discover what makes this place special.
